Building a verified workforce repository for the Caribbean pharmaceutical sector.

Access to a skilled workforce is a central consideration for manufacturers, partners, and investors assessing Barbados as a location for life sciences operations.
BPI has partnered with HIOFU to answer that question directly, building a verified talent pool, an evidence-backed workforce repository sourced locally, regionally, and globally.
Candidates complete their profiles and build a portable Skills Passport (HSP1) that travels with them across every application, structured proof of real capability rather than a resume alone.
HIOFU is being integrated into existing BPI recruitment workflows as an additional data layer, allowing verified skills evidence to accompany candidate applications and creating a workforce database without requiring employers to adopt a separate hiring platform.

Success means giving prospective investors and employers a verified talent pool and a reliable way to identify talent across pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality control, engineering, and technical functions, while also strengthening BPI’s own recruitment pipeline. Candidate profiles can be assessed anonymously against role requirements before personal details are disclosed, supporting a more evidence-based, impartial hiring process. HIOFU provides prospective manufacturers a clearer, evidence-based view of the skills available across Barbados, CARICOM, and the diaspora.
