Establishing Barbados as a credible site for pharmaceutical R&D and technology transfer.
BPI is working with national and international partners to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem needed to support a competitive pharmaceutical sector in Barbados.
BPI's sector strategy identifies a long-term vision for enabling research infrastructure, including future investments in ICH Zone IVb-compliant stability testing capacity, technology transfer and intellectual property support, and regional bioequivalence capabilities. As these priorities evolve through continued partner engagement, technical assessment, financing, and government support, BPI will be able to address critical gaps in the Caribbean's pharmaceutical landscape and strengthen the region's innovation capacity.
Together, these initiatives are strengthening Barbados' research capabilities, fostering innovation, and creating the conditions needed to attract investment and advance pharmaceutical R&D.
